Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information SelfAI – AI Photo Studio collects when you use the AI Headshot Generator app or website, how we use that information, and the choices you have. We aim to keep this honest and easy to read.

1. Who we are

SelfAI – AI Photo Studio (the “App”, “Service”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Rocket Digital Limited, located at 1603, The L Plaza, 367-375 Queens Road Central, Hong Kong. You can reach us at hello@rocketdigital.ai.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to operate the AI Headshot Generator and improve it:

  • Photos you upload. Selfies and reference photos you upload to generate AI headshots, business photos, ID photos, and other AI-generated portraits.
  • Generated images. The AI photos created from your uploads, stored so you can download or revisit them.
  • Account data. If you create an account, we store identifiers such as email address, sign-in provider, and account preferences.
  • Purchase data. If you make an in-app purchase or subscription, our payment partners (App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat) handle billing. We receive transaction status, plan, and renewal data — not full card details.
  • Usage and device data. App version, device model, OS version, language, crash logs, anonymised IP, screen views, and feature interactions.
  • Marketing identifiers. If you arrive via an ad campaign, attribution providers may share campaign source and click data with us.

3. Third-party services we use

We rely on industry-standard service providers to run the AI Photo Studio. Each provider only receives the data needed for its specific job:

  • RevenueCat – manages subscriptions, entitlements, and receipt validation for in-app purchases on iOS and Android.
  • Firebase (Google) – authentication, cloud storage, crash reporting, push notifications, and remote configuration.
  • Google AdMob – serves and measures ads in the free tier of the mobile app, where applicable.
  • OpenAI – powers parts of the AI generation and prompt processing pipeline.
  • Microsoft Azure – hosts certain backend services and AI model inference endpoints.
  • Replicate – runs hosted AI image-generation models used to create AI headshots and styled portraits.
  • Fal.ai – provides additional hosted AI inference for selected photo styles.
  • Google Analytics – measures aggregated, anonymised website and app usage.
  • Meta Pixel – measures website conversions and supports attribution for our ad campaigns on Meta platforms.
  • Vercel Analytics & Speed Insights – measures website performance and aggregated visitor metrics.

Each provider acts under its own privacy policy. Where required by law we have data-processing agreements in place.

4. How we use your information

  • To generate the AI headshots and AI photos you request.
  • To deliver, secure, and improve the SelfAI AI Photo Studio.
  • To process subscriptions, purchases, and refunds.
  • To prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.
  • To measure how the website and app are used so we can improve them.
  • To send service notifications and, with consent, marketing emails.

5. AI training and your photos

Photos you upload to the SelfAI AI Headshot Generator are used to generate the AI portraits you ask for. We do not sell your selfies, and we do not use them to train public AI models. AI inference providers (such as Replicate, Fal.ai, OpenAI, and Microsoft Azure) process your photos solely to return your generated images and operate the service.

6. Legal bases for processing (EEA / UK)

  • Performance of contract – generating your AI photos, managing your account and subscription.
  • Legitimate interests – product analytics, fraud prevention, and core security.
  • Consent – marketing emails, optional analytics, and certain advertising cookies/pixels.
  • Legal obligation – tax, accounting, and compliance with valid legal requests.

7. How long we keep data

  • Uploaded selfies and generated AI photos: stored as part of your account so you can revisit them. You can delete them at any time.
  • Account data: kept for as long as your account is active.
  • Purchase records: retained as required by tax and accounting law.
  • Aggregated analytics: retained in line with each analytics provider’s retention defaults.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, email hello@rocketdigital.ai. You can also delete uploaded photos and your account directly from within the app.

9. Cookies, pixels, and tracking

Our website uses Vercel Analytics, Google Analytics, and Meta Pixel. Where required by law we ask for your consent before non-essential cookies and pixels are set. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; the site will continue to work, but some metrics will not be collected.

10. Children

SelfAI – AI Photo Studio is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has shared personal data with us, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International transfers

Our service providers are global. Your data may be processed in the United States, the European Union, and other regions where our providers operate. We rely on standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards where required.

12. Security

Photos and account data are transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS / TLS). Backend storage is access-controlled. No system is perfectly secure, so we keep working to improve our defences.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email. The “Effective date” at the top of the page will always show the latest version.
